Sta. Maria Joins ABS – CBN Bida sa Pagbabalita Contest
Trisha Kyle M. Sta Maria of the Grade IV class was chosen by SRBCL to be its contestant in the recently held “Bida Ako sa Pagbabalita” news writing and news reporting contest. Chosen in the school after a battery of writing and speaking elimination contests among the Grades IV- VI pupils, Trisha, one of the youngest contestants was finally chosen and made the school’s official contestant.
The Purok Level contest was held last October 4 at the J.P. Guadiz Elementary School. Out of the more than eight schools in the division, Trisha was chosen one of the four pupils to represent Purok IV in the Division Level contest which was held on October 12 at the Colegio de Dagupan Audio- Visual Room.
Sixteen contestants in all vied to become one of ABS-CBN’s junior patrollers. Unfortunately this is not to be Trisha’s year. Poised Grade VI pupils ran away with the top three places in the contest. Unfazed with the disappointment, Trisha vowed to practice her skills because if anything, the experience simply spurred her to do better in the years to come.
Teacher Mirasol T. Mislang was Trisha Kyle’s coach for the contest.
