SRBCL Joins Citywide Earthquake Drill
The school participated in the citywide simultaneous earthquake drill last July 16, Friday. The drill is to ingrain disaster preparedness among Dagupeños. As per Executive Order No. 137, July was declared as the NATIONAL DISASTER CONSCIOUSNESS MONTH and July 16 every year was declared by the Dagupan City Council as DAGUPAN CITY DISASTER PREPAREDNESS DAY. This year’s theme is “Pag Alerto, Malayo sa Peligro.”
The grade school levels who have been participating in the yearly drills executed all the steps with no difficulty while the preschoolers, treated the whole exercise as a game but nevertheless did all that was required of them perfectly. Evacuation of the pupils took less than three minutes with all the pupils accounted for as they did their count off once out of the “danger zone.”
