Matthew Serafica, a Grade III pupil posed and sparred his way to two medals in the recently concluded 2010 Palarong Pambansa held in Tarlac City.
The karatekas from Region I hauled 20 medals in all, coming out as the Over-all Champions in the Karate Event of the Palaro, with Serafica contributing a silver and bronze medal to the kitty. He grabbed the silver medal in the Boys Kumite (Ages 8-9) and the bronze medal in the Boys Kata (Ages 8-9).
